The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants wins award for its Future of Finance campaign

19 November, Brussels – The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), the world’s largest professional body of management accountants, has won a Digitalisation Award for its Future of Finance campaign at Accountancy Europe’s annual Digital Day in Brussels.
The Digitalisation Awards recognise the most promising technology initiatives within the accounting sector, highlighting best practices to support finance professionals through digital transformation. Based on extensive research into the future of management accounting, CIMA’s Future of Finance campaign aims to reskill finance professionals, help them build sustainable careers, and embrace a growth mindset in the digital business world.
Andrew Harding, FCMA, CGMA, Chief Executive – Management Accounting, said:
“Like many other sectors, the finance profession is facing unprecedented change driven by new and emerging technologies. The challenge for any professional body is finding the best way to support members through these unsettling times, deliver value, and ensure members and students remain relevant.
“Our Future of Finance campaign focuses on giving finance professionals, members and students the tools and resources they need to thrive in this digital age. We are happy to see that our efforts to develop the finance professionals of tomorrow are commended within the sector.”
Backed by the Association of International Professional Accountants, the unified voice of CIMA and the AICPA, the campaign encompasses thought leadership, the development of the updated CIMA Professional Qualification and enhanced CGMA Competency Framework, as well as the provision of practical tools to help finance professionals develop a digital mindset.
