The Association of International Certified Professional Accountants announces executive hires to focus on member value and experience

18 September, London – The Association of International Certified Professional Accountants (The Association), the world’s largest accounting body, has hired two new London-based members of their leadership team who, combined, bring more than three decades of experience across global markets.

The Association – formed last year by The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) – has appointed Rory Tait as Executive Vice President, Marketing and Member Experience and Tim Mahne as Vice President of Marketing and Member Experience – Management Accounting.

Tait joins the Association following 16 years in various posting around the world with global consumer giant Reckitt Benckiser, the producer of health, hygiene and home products such as Dettol, Lemsip, Lysol and Nurofen.

As Executive Vice President Marketing and Member Experience, Tait will be responsible for delivering the Association’s world-class member experience across business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-customers (B2C) channels around the world. He will also lead on the Association’s expansion to deliver value and new product launches to members, students and customers in new markets. Tait is part of the Senior Leadership Team for the Association.

Tait said: “I am excited to join the Association in its formative years and be given the mandate to drive customer experience and deliver member value. My focus will be to bring Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) disciplines and combine them with the very best of professional services to deliver the leading experience and value proposition for those working in the accounting profession.” 

Mahne, who joins from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) where he was Director of Global Sales and Marketing, has previously worked for international brands such as Sony and HP. He will be responsible for driving marketing and sales, including the acquisition and retention of students and members. He reports to Rory Tait.

Mahne said: “I am thrilled to be joining an organisation with a vision to transform the world of learning for its members and students. My role will be to ensure that we maximise opportunities presented under the combined strength of the AICPA and CIMA, including our work on the future of finance.”
